Jane Cruickshanks

Jane Cruickshanks is President of JCM Financial Services Inc. She is a Certified Financial Planner and a Certified Kingdom Advisor. Passionate about the people she helps, she spends much of her day with clients taking the time to listen and get to know them on a deep, personal level. Jane has been in the financial services industry for over thirty-four years.

Attending Indiana University, Jane received her bachelor’s degree.  Jane is a Registered Representative, Registered Principal, Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Kingdom Advisor (CKA), Investment Advisor Representative ( IAR ) with Securities of America Advisory Services, A Registered Representative with Securities of America, and a Licensed to offer Medicare representative.  Her faith and client’s best interest policy guide her focus every day and, in her professional life.

Inspired by her grandmother, Jane decided to get into the financial services industry in 1987. Her grandmother was widowed in the early 1900s and had four daughters ranging in age from ten to fifteen years old. She educated herself on finance and found a trusted financial advisor. Jane found her grandmother’s financial journal and fell in love with the wisdom she obtained and through her education and decision to use a financial advisor. This inspired Jane to help others as her grandmother’s advisor did so long ago.

Jane sees herself as a trusted advisor, friend, counselor, teacher, and guide to her clients. Her interactions are multi-faceted and strengthen their relationships each time. Jane genuinely cares about her clients and each of their unique situations.  Her goal is to listen intently to her client’s goals and needs and provide them with innovative solutions to meet their goals and needs. She finds meaning and joy when she educates her clients on a planned solution,  to gives them renewed confidence their goals and needs can be met.

She reached a pivotal point in her career when she found that as an advisor for a large company, she was asked to comprise her personal belief, to always act in the best interest of the client.  The company asked her to recommend products to the client that were not in the best interest of the client but in the best interest of the company.  Compromising her fiduciary responsibility to the client was not an option for Jane.  After a successful 8-year career with the large insurance company, Jane left the company and stepped out to become an independent advisor and formed JCM Financial Services Inc., to be a true fiduciary with a focus on making her client’s best interest a priority.

Jane’s top values are Faith, Family, Relationships, Health, Community Service, and Integrity.

Serving her community and following her heart, Jane lives a life of integrity and honesty. She and her family reside in south Florida where they enjoy attending church, traveling, playing board games, and relaxing by their pool. Her hobbies include growing orchids, music, and participating in 5 K and Marathons races.  Giving back to the community is important to Jane.  She has been involved in the following community activities Jaycees, Boy Scouts, Venturing, West Broward High School PTSA Board Member, College Academy PTSA Board Member, Cancer fundraisers, Diabetes Research Fund Raiser and was a Girl Scout Leader for 12 years.
